OpenAI makes GPT-4 and the API generally available!

This is fantastic news! A lot of people have been eagerly awaiting the broader release of the GPT-4 API. It means more competition for those of us using GPT for an edge in our affiliate businesses, but that was inevitable. Broadly speaking, quite a few people haven’t even heard of ChaGPT still, and of those who have tried it, many seem to view it as a sort of parlor trick or fad, missing the real potential of what Large Language Models like GPT-3.5-turbo and GPT-4 can do.

We look forward to it spurring innovation, creativity, and productivity across the board.  Keep an eye out for exciting new AI-related products and opportunities!

GPT-4 API general availability and deprecation of older models in the Completions API
GPT-3.5 Turbo, DALL·E and Whisper APIs are also generally available, and we are releasing a deprecation plan for older models of the Completions API, which will retire at the beginning of 2024.
